The Kettler Verso R-400 Indoor rower uses both air and magnetic brake resistance to provide up to 16 levels of variable resistance that can be changed at the console with a push of a button.

The glide track is made of aluminum alloy, and the sturdy carbon steel frame has a lifetime warranty. The padded seat has sealed ball bearings to eliminate the need for lubrication and it rolls on quality rollers for quiet, smooth performance.

The computer offers 12 pre-set workout programs including Heart Rate Control that is used with the wireless HR chest strap (included), as well as a Race program with graphic dot matrix profile that simulates a virtual competitor to race against to keep your workout challenging.

According to user reviews, the Verso R-400 offers a smooth rowing experience and a number of a quality features. Unlike the other Kettler rowers, the Verso has a well-designed blue (not grey) backlit display that is simply laid out and easy to read.

With a maximum user weight of 285 pounds, this 90-lb machine with air and magnetic resistance is the best value in the line. (Ironically, it is the only rower the company imports from Taiwan; the others are made in Germany.)
